Teaching life.....

I have taught in a night high school for a month now, though it is just a practice (prerequisite  for a diploma), I  have felt to be a real one(heads up and proud)....
Though a li'l bit far from what people expect of me(bound to be in the wards of ta hospital giving medications  and taking Vitals signs of the sick and the depress), now I here in a preppy classroom with children whose mind are empty as the blackboard with out writings on it. My sole responsibility now, is to help them fill it up with the knowledge that is not only found in the books but the learning they will get when they are now in the real world and how they will use them.
So I as teacher don't just teach about the structures of the cell or the different organ system of a human being but it is now about life and the constant struggle we face every day....

Uwan Init Pista Langit

Here is heaven and hell.....

"Ana si Tatay ang langit na a ra kilid sa amung balay ug ang porgatoryo kani akung ge barugan karon"

I have seen this movie when I got a chance to spend some time in the grandeur CICC two months ago. I just remembered this indie Cebuano film as it was literally raining while the sun is up flashing his heatwaves....

I could always relate  this metaphor to our everyday life; it has always been hard yet we continue struggling with our existence. Truly Zoren Keirkegard was absolutely right when quoted something like that this, human history was but all a struggle a struggle for the truth and struggle for its insignificant existence in this universe of uncertainty.

Bohol: second leg

Bohol: Loboc River

What could possibly be more beautiful than this?

My Second visit to Bohol, although this time it was only a one day tour with some Japanese. So I will just give some few highlights of this trip as this not the first I time,
The above picture is a good friend of mine in her background the chocolate hills. Hmmm,Chocolate hills? It is green, well September is a rainy month so most of the grasses and plants on the hills are alive and kicking.

The cruise would be much more wonder if you have someone special  while
satisfying your gastronomical gravings.
The Loboc River Cruise...

Located in Barangay Loboc, these floating restaurants sure satisfy your grumbling stomach. A variety of dishes offered worth 300 peso you would have a lunch while listening local bands and children playing the rondalla.

The Loboc River, one of the pride of Bohol, this was also
the main setting f the Visayan film done by Ceasar Montano which featured the wonders of this river and the enchanting f bohol.

Basically, the cruise lasted for an hour it was a floating restaurant. The food are just the same with the ones in an ordinary carenderia. What makes it unique is the beautiful sights an the panoramic view of nature in its pure essence.

As every journey comes to an end so was ours. The guy in white was our  tour guide he arranged everything  from  the pump-boat we rode to the Van we rented for the country side tour we had.

The plan was orginally to go to Kawasan Falls....
But we found out too late that it was still close, not to be sad about the news we opted to find
other ways on how we could still have fun on this trip.

Misadventure: luckily there were some kin-hearted drivers who suggested to bring us to Canlaob river the upper part of Kawasan falls.
1. From badian church you should ride a habal-habal for 100 peso each(haggle-haggle) to bring you to the place.

Credits to my Sister for making a slide show on this trip......

Take a plunge to cool and crystal clear water of Canlaob river....

Warning:

I considered to be my Old sisters. Tim and Noellee.... Obese mermaids... hehehehehe

The Canlaob falls is a bit smaller than the Kawasan Falls. Nonetheless, it has its own unique charming that is distinct from Kawasan falls.

We found a nice cottage we rented for just 50 pesos(hangyo mode). Perfect for safe keeping while enjoying the beauty of nature.

One the best thing in traveling is meeting new friends. Pedro  with his new found allies. (Nice kids)

Every good start would always a better ending.....

We are about to get home, the rains starts to pour on us.
It was long trip but at the end we had a good time....

How to get there:
From the South bus terminal find a bus bound to Badian or Alegria. It would cost you 132 pesos and the route would take you 3-4 hours long.

In alegria, find a habal-habal driver that would take you to Canlaob river.... Remember don't hesitate to do the hangyo mode. hhehehehe

The land of Sweet Potatoes

Camotes: The Lost Horizon of the South

On all of my travels and misadventure this is one of the most unforgettable. Well all of them is unforgettable in each of their own ways but this one is quite something.

Camotes! las islas de Camotes!

We had an overnight stay at Santiago Bay Resort the accommodation was quite expensive but there are only few rooms left almost all the hotels were fully book that time. I was with her on that trip, (we would really escape from the stress the city bombards us)

Every Car needs a gasoline, my stomach grumbles for food to take in.

One of the most recommended restaurant around the beach shores of Camotes. The food is mouth watering and surprisingly it is very affordable.

One of the major tourist destination of this island.... The lake Danao park,

Sorry, the picture seem to be dark as it was really cloudy and it was almost raining when we went their....

Her million dollar pose
. Her adventure would not be completed without this pose

Love to Swim?
Tomogo Cave: One of the attraction of the Island, try to take a dive in the crystal clear water....

The Baywalk....

Located in the town proper of San Francisco....... (Camotes), the manila inspired style park is good for taking a breather after your energy consuming tour on the entire island. Take note this park is a wi-fi zone....

And after all the things that we have done it all boils down to this..... Weeeee the satisfaction of gastronomical
concerns... A moonlight and candle light dinner... hehehe

haha... and my trip would not be completed without this......

a chitchat with the local... Just being a bystander in a small kiosk near the public school. (Feeling close)

Now the hardest part.... Bye,bye Camotes!

on board with the shuttle ferry bound to Danao City. Ticket fair is 180 pesos.

Notes: The entire island can be traveled whole day, so it is only good for an overnight stay specially if you are a solo packer.
